NatHERS Assessment
The most common way for new homes to achieve energy compiance is via a NatHERS 7-star assessment. We model your dwelling in simulation software, provide you with feedback on ways to improve the thermal efficiency of the design, and reccommend insulation and glazing products required to achieve compliance. Once finalised, we provide a nationally recognised accredited NatHERS certificate.
Deemed to Satisfy
The National Construction Code provides us another acceptable method to assess new homes; a series of regulations that are often referred to as the "Deemed to Satisfy" provisions. This method is simple, procedural, and most often suited to assessing extensions or additions. If this method yields the best results for your project, we can provide you with a Deemed to Satisfy report.
Performance Solution
We have the techical expertise to offer varied methodology to comply with the energy efficiency provisions of the National Construction Code, known as a Performance Solution. When such a solution may provide value to your commercial or residential project, we will advise you of the benefits.
Commercial Assessment
Class 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and common areas of a Class 2 building require a Section J report. We provide Section J reports for commercial projects that minimise the total cost required to achieve energy compliance. We are able to provide reports based on the 2022 or 2019 National Construction Codes, whichever is currently relevant in your State or Territory, including JV3 and J1V3 assessments.
BASIX Report
In NSW and the ACT, Building Sustainability Index reports are part of the required documentation for residential building applications. If you have a new development or are renovating an existing dwelling, contact us for a quote on a BASIX report.
Design Consultation
Your goals may not be limited to just achieving energy compliance, and that's okay! We've helped our clients design an 9.6 star house, tune insulation in a warehouse to minimise the loss of perishable stock, and help navigate regulations to convert a heritage barn into a secondary dwelling. If you'd like consultation on your next project, call us and we'll arrange a visit!
